Dr. Pedro Literas was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He studied Medicine at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), graduating in 2003 with a Doctor of Medicine degree and an outstanding GPA of 9.03 out of 10. He was awarded the Diploma of Honor in Medicine.

In 2004, he began his residency in General and Thoracic Surgery at the French Hospital of Buenos Aires under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Eduardo Nicolás Saad. He completed his residency in 2008, earning the title of Specialist in General Surgery, granted by the National Ministry of Health, and the University Specialist in General Surgery, awarded by the University of Buenos Aires. He then began his training in Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery at SACPER (Argentine Society of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery).

In 2011, he completed the program and was awarded the title of Specialist in Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery, granted by the National Ministry of Health, with a perfect GPA of 10 out of 10.

From 2009 to 2020, Dr. Pedro Literas worked as a disciple of Dr. Julio L. C. Cianflone, a Master Surgeon in Argentine Plastic Surgery, from whom he learned the technical and humanistic foundations of the specialty.

He also completed several training experiences in the United States. He holds ECFMG® certification, which validates his medical degree in the U.S. He completed an Observership in Plastic Surgery at the University of Southern California (USC) under Dr. Randy Sherman. He also participated in clinical visits to The Lasky Clinic in Beverly Hills, led by Dr. Andrew Frankel and Dr. Leslie Stevens, as well as Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles under Dr. Andrew Cohen.

Dr. Literas has served as a professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Buenos Aires, based at the Spanish Hospital of Buenos Aires. He also worked as a staff surgeon in the Plastic Surgery Unit of the General Surgery Department at the same hospital, and he led the Plastic Surgery section in the General Surgery Department at Nuestra Señora de La Merced Private Hospital in Martín Coronado.

He is an active member of several prestigious organizations, including the Argentine Medical Association (AMA), Buenos Aires Society of Plastic Surgery (SCPBA), Argentine Society of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery (SACPER), and an International Member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), certified by the Mexican Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (CMCPRE), and a member of the Mexican Association of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery (AMCPER).

Dr. Literas specializes in the Art of Facial Aesthetic Surgery, focusing primarily on facial rejuvenation procedures with his signature PL LIFT technique. He is an expert in facial, neck, and eye rejuvenation surgery using Deep Plane Facelift techniques, backed by more than 20 years of experience.
